Weneo Duo simplifies daily life by combining the power of two contactless Smart Cards within a single Smart Object.
A pushon the button of the device’s body activates one Smart Card or the other, allowing for easy switching between applications based on different RFID infrastructures. Combined with USB connectivity, the 2 smart cards approach
enables the combination of multiple functions and services in the area of security and dematerialization.
Examples of multiple application combinations:
• Several contactless ISO 1443 applications : some type A, others type B.
• Two mass transit applications: one based on Calypso, the other one on MIFARE.
• A payment application and a mass transit application.
• Strong authentication using one chip, payment application using the other one.
• Several security applications based on Java OS smart card, a mass transit application based on a native smart card.
With its ability to host two smart cards, Weneo Duo meets needs that required the use of several contactless mediums until
now:
• Access two incompatible infrastructures, one using type A,
the other type B.
• Combine a payment and ticketing function.
• Offer two or more applications, even when smart card certification is required (such as payment).
• Deliver allocated security for multiple applications.
